Take Heart
For years, composing choral anthems for choirs I have directed has been my favorite compositional task. Of the many written, a few stand out as personal favorites. Just click on a button below to hear one. Though performed in these files as an instrumental piece or all male choir reading, each was written for mixed chorus.

Live Day To The Lord
In the quiet of your dark anticipations, take heart. Take heart. When the heat of your impatience stokes the fires of hateful stress, take heart. In the grudges that you harbour, in the foolish fear of death, in the friend that disappoints you, in the work you may detest; take heart; for in the town of Bethlehem more than two thousand years ago a being of such worthiness that you and I may know, brought comfort to unnumbered lives, the rescue of our own. Take heart. In the quiet of his expectation He can heal your heart. Take health. Take peace. Take heart. Take joy. Once again this holy coming offers us a lovely choice for life. Take Heart. May this oft repeated coming move us never as before. May the pow'r of this appearing help us love him more and more. Take love, He comes. Take heart.
